In the fast paced and ever-changing modern business environment, having the right resources available when you need them the most is a key contributing factor in helping you reach your business objectives. This often is a difficult balancing act and is one that RSM is experienced in assisting with.
From 15 March 2020 your statutory auditor will no longer be able to provide secondment staff to you, even on a short-term basis. This results from a blanket prohibition on loan staff arrangements to audit clients in the FRC’s Ethical Standard issued in December 2019.
Through our tailored secondment and special projects services, we select a specialist from our experienced and dedicated team of RSM employees to match your requirements. We will source your specialist from over 400 Accounting and Business Advisory permanent staff from across the country to ensure we match the required skills and seniority required for the project. We offer a range of services to help you achieve your business objectives and provide you with sufficient resources just when you need them the most.
The benefits of secondment support
Secondments are where we place an individual or team from our Accounting and Business Advisory team inside your company to work alongside your finance team for a specified period of time and purpose. The time period can vary based on your needs and objectives, and can be from one to five days a week, perhaps to cover a planned absence, or when your finance team are working on a special project.
We work with you to develop a bespoke, tailored and productive secondment package that is best suited to your business objectives and growth plans.
Our team will provide you with the support you need in a number of areas, including:
- advising on a range of accounting issues in real time;
- preparation of statutory financial statements under IFRS, FRS 101 or UK GAAP;
- preparation or review of consolidated financial statements;
- preparation or review of specific aspects of your financial statements, e.g. financial instrument disclosures or narrative reporting; and
- preparation or review of supporting technical papers.
We have placed secondees within some of the largest companies in the UK, including both UK GAAP and IFRS adopters. Our specialists have experience providing a comprehensive range of services for a wide range of clients, so we are well equipped to help you achieve your business objectives, whatever they may be.
