James is an associate director in the employer solutions team, based in East Anglia and supporting clients across our central region. His work involves advising our clients on employment taxes, benefits in kind, overseas assignment issues, employee reward matters and employers’ reporting obligations. 

James has significant experience in the employment and expatriate taxes field, in practice and in industry, including ‘in-house roles with FTSE100 and FTSE250 businesses. He has also been on international assignment himself for four years, while working in practice early in his career, so has personal experience of the challenges for employees and their employers of working across international borders. 

His experience covers a wide range of employment and expatriate taxes compliance, planning and employee reward matters. James works with a varied client base, on ways to reduce costs, provide tax efficient reward options and efficiently manage employment taxes risk and reporting obligations.

James leverages his considerable in-house experience to provide commercial and practical solutions to technical tax issues.
