Victoria Road Pub Management Company Limited owned 18 pubs in the Keighley, Bradford and Leeds area. The decision to appoint Liquidators was made due to an inability to cover debts and the Company entered into a Creditors Voluntary Liquidation on 23 September with Rushtons Insolvency Limited as liquidators. However prior to this date, on 13 September, British Gas Trading Limited had presented a petition to compulsorily wind up the company and the High Court issued the order on 7 November, and Mark Wilson from RSM was subsequently appointed liquidator by the Secretary of State.
Mark Wilson, RSM Restructuring Advisory partner and Liquidator, said: ‘We are working with our professional advisors to review the current assets with a view to maximising realisations for creditors. We also understand that the pub premises had been returned to the landlords prior to our appointment.’
