RSM’s corporate finance team based in Scotland has acted on a range of high profile transactions with a total deal value in excess of £263 million – highlighting a significant uplift in deal activity.
The Scottish-based team has advised on key deals, including a hat-trick of acquisitions for Standard Life plc consisting of Almary Green Investments Limited, Baigrie Davies Holdings Limited and Munro Partnership Limited; and a trio of purchases for Smart Metering Systems plc, including Qton Solutions Limited, Trojan Utilities Limited and CH4 Gas Utility and Maintenance Services Limited.
Angela Toner, corporate finance partner at RSM, said:
‘It’s been a busy start to 2016 with a number of high profile deals completing since the beginning of the year. This builds on the momentum from last year and is testimony to the strong team we have in place. It also demonstrates confidence in the M&A market as businesses look to seize viable investment opportunities, which is great news for the Scottish market.
‘Our pipeline looks good, and despite a challenging economic landscape and political uncertainty, there is real optimism in the Scottish market that the uplift in activity is sustainable.’
