Mark Sands and Duncan Lyle, insolvency practitioners from RSM, have been appointed trustees in bankruptcy to Andrew Robert Guy Farage.
Mr Farage, from Petts Wood in Orpington, was declared bankrupt on 24 May 2016 following a petition by 1st Credit (Finance) Limited.
According to court documents, Mr Farage has total debts of more than £477,000 comprising around £330,000 in mortgage debt and £147,000 in unsecured debt. His creditors include banks, credit companies, other financial institutions and HMRC.
In his submission to the court, Mr Farage attributed his bankruptcy to losing his job in 2014, leaving him unable to pay creditors without financial assistance from family members.
The trustees in bankruptcy will now work to identify and realise any available assets for the benefit of creditors.
