The event, held at RSM’s office at 20 Chapel Street, welcomed Neil McGonigle, Head of Cities UK North for UBER, and finance professionals from across the city to discuss the phenomenal success of the disruptor business, future strategies and its impact on the wider market.
The event was the perfect forum to discuss innovation and the impact of technology; infrastructure and transport across the North; and sustainability in our cities.
Andrew Lloyd, tax partner at RSM and President of the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants, said:
‘UBER is using technology and innovation to spearhead change - not only from a transport perspective but across the wider consumer market. The event was a great opportunity to get a unique insight into UBER’s plans and unpick the key aspects that have struck a chord with customers and led to global success.
‘Interestingly, partnership and collaboration is central to UBER’s strategy to ensure that the business plays its part to make it easier for customers to travel and access public transport. Its ultimate aim is to help reduce car emissions and reduce the number of cars on the road.
‘We were delighted that our members were able to hear first hand from a business that is at the forefront of innovation in its sector.’
