RSM congratulates Andy Sullivan on Ryder Cup team selection

Andy SullivanCommenting on the news that RSM ambassador Andy Sullivan has secured a place in Europe’s Ryder Cup team, David Gwilliam, chief operating officer at RSM UK said: 

‘It’s fantastic news that Andy will make his Ryder Cup debut this year after securing one of the coveted automatic places on the European team. This is a great achievement and one which is thoroughly deserved after a year of solid performances on the European Tour.

‘The Ryder Cup 2016 promises to be as hard fought as ever and the European team will face the additional challenge of playing away from home. However, we have every confidence that Andy will rise to the challenge and everyone at RSM UK will be right behind him and the rest of the European team.’

Andy Sullivan said:

‘I’m very excited to be making my debut at the Ryder Cup this year after working so hard to secure a place. I am very grateful to all my fans and sponsors, including RSM, for their support and encouragement and I fully intend to compete hard for the European team come September.’

Andy will join Rory McIlroy, Danny Willett, Henrik Stenson, Chris Wood, Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose, Rafael Cabrera-Bello and Matt Fitzpatrick in the European team. A further three ‘wild card’ players will be announced shortly.

Andy Sullivan joined Team RSM in January of this year, becoming an ambassador for the UK firm. As part of the three year sponsorship deal, Andy will engage with RSM clients and employees through personal appearances and social media interaction, display the RSM logo on his shirt during tournaments and be a key part of the business’s growing partnership strategy.

The Ryder Cup will take place between 30 September and 2 October at the Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota.
