Mark Sands of Baker Tilly Creditor Services LLP has been appointed trustee in bankruptcy to former Chelsea and England footballer Kerry Dixon.
The bankruptcy order, which was made on the petition of Commissioners for HM Revenue and Customs, shows debts of around £190,000.
According to Court papers, Mr Dixon attributed his bankruptcy to neglecting his tax affairs and not being able to afford an accountant to resolve matters.
Kerry Dixon spent most of his playing career at Chelsea, but he also had spells at Reading, Southampton, Luton Town, Watford, Millwall and Doncaster Rovers. He retired as a professional footballer in 1997 and later worked as a publican and club coach. Over the last 10 years, he has worked in sporting hospitality and appeared on radio and television as a football pundit.
The trustee in bankruptcy will now work to identify and realise any available assets for the benefit of creditors.
