Technical update session on topic issues include GMP Equalisation, Implementation Statement and SORP elements with Philip Briggs from RSM
Monday 1 February at 2pm
Philip Briggs will provide insight into the latest technical changes affecting pension schemes. GMP Equalisation, following a further court judgement in November 2020, more obligations have been imposed on trustees to pay correct historic transfer values reflecting members rights to equalised benefits. This presents trustees and the industry with a tricky issue. Existence of records and tax issues being just two of the areas Phil will explore further. Other topics hot of the press are the new Investment Reporting Framework effective for reporting periods beginning on or after 1 July 2020 and the Internal Control Reporting Framework following the revision of AAF 01/06 with the issue of AAF 01/20.
